Marybeth and Kiryako's day was a boho dream from her two piece, lace dress to the wildflowers and flower crowns. Deep shades of plum, pops of lavender, and touches of blush combined together for a rich, spring palette that we absolutely loved. Along with their fun loving style, Marybeth and Kiryako brought in sweet, personal touches including constructing the centerpiece containers themselves and adding peacock feathers to their blooms to honor Marybeth's grandmother. It was such an honor to be a small part of their amazing day. All the best for a wonderful life together!
Pure happiness. It goes without saying that weddings are a source of endless joy for the bride and groom, their friends and family. But there is something about Kristin's glowing expression that let's you know there is no where in this world she would rather be than exactly where she was, marrying Jay. Thank you so much for allowing us to bring our own version of joy to your day. May all your days be filled with light and love!
A gorgeous bridal luncheon at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards fit for only the finest of gal pals, Rachel's celebration was exactly what the best of brides and friends deserve. Every personalized detail was planned by the bride and Taylor of Alyson Taylor Events to ensure the women at the table knew how cherished they were. The paper goods were even designed and created by the bride's cousin keeping it all in the family. Carrie's photographs captured each pink petal and ruffled white edge perfectly and we could not be more honored to have been a part of such a fun occasion!
Soft, simple, stunning. The quintessential inspiration for a garden wedding, this styled shoot planned by Sasha of Charming Debonair brought together the natural elements of Seven Springs with an air of vintage, romance. From the olive branch runner to the neutral bridal bouquet, all the elements were subtle and well curated. Quite possible our favorite part, minus the hellebores, was the amazing cake by Sorby Sweets. The intricacy and detail of the design flowed beautifully into the other elements and it was truly too beautiful to eat...almost. This shoot was a joy to be a part of and we are so excited to share it with you.

Winery weddings on sweet sunny days are just one week away and we cannot wait to officially start our spring wedding season. Kate & Andrew's New Kent Winery wedding this past November was picture perfect. From the lace and chiffon bridesmaids dresses to the soft natural blooms, their style and color palette crosses all the seasons. We loved the addition of thistle and veronica to add texture and depth to their blush, dusty blue day. May all your days be as full of warmth and love as this one and thank you for letting us share in it!
The Virginia House was bought in a demolition sale. Someone saw the beauty, elegance, and history in a slightly dilapidated, English Tudor manor house and they couldn't let it be destroyed. Taken down and reassembled across the pond, the house was originally slated to be the west wing of the Virginia Historical Society but plans unfolded differently allowing for the Virginia House to be restored to its original roots on a hilltop overlooking the James River. It was precisely those qualities that saved it which made it the perfect setting for Jessica's fine art bridal portraits styled by Maggie Richard and photographed by Alex Tenser. Jessica looked truly stunning in her Ava Laurenne gown with a bouquet to match the grandeur and drama of the space.
West coast style meets east coast tradition for a Southern soiree that was truly one for the books! Jessica & Stephen's October wedding held on the groom's parents property was everything a bride could wish for. Planned and styled by the ever so talented Alyson Taylor Events, the reception tent was adorned with floral creations big and small, modern and classic chandeliers, handcrafted silk linens, farmhouse tables set to a t, and personal touches to soak in for days. Taylor absolutely outdid herself bringing their vision to life on a grand but intimate scale. From the classic, elegant bouquets to the more natural, organic centerpieces, each item we created was done so with intent to marry the styles of this amazing couple. An absolute dream, we just can't stop reliving the day over and over again through Nikki Santerre's lens. A fine art photographer known for her film work, Nikki brought to light every lace detail, silk fold, and ruffled bloom so effortlessly and with such clear, beautiful definition. Thank you for capturing our work in such a stunning, memorable way that lead to a feature on the front page of Style Me Pretty! Most importantly however, thank you to Jessica & Stephen for putting your faith in us and allowing us be a part of your celebration. Cheers to so many happy days together!

Color, color, and more rich, bold color. We love a bride that loves color! Anna & Brent's beautiful October day was accented with deep oranges, bright raspberries, pops of marsala, and soft blushes working together to add just the right about of fun and flair. Limefish Studio did such a stunning job of capturing every variegated petal and ruffled edge. Anna & Brent, thank you so much for letting us add a little something special to your day and may all your years be just as bright!
March 1st means it's officially spring right?!? With 80 degree temps, our hydrangeas budding, and warm rainstorms, Mother Nature sure has us fooled if it isn't. Here at TPP we are gearing up for our spring season which has us daydreaming of all our amazing 2016 Spring weddings. And Kate & Brett's May day was nothing if not dreamy. Sweet white, blush, and champagne blooms, fresh picked from the garden shapes, and sage greenery for days, their easy disposition could be felt from the florals all the way to the tiniest detail planned and styled by Alyson Taylor Events. Jillian Michelle Photography captured each wonderful moment effortlessly from the most adorable flower girl to Kate owning the dance floor king's table garland and all. Everything about their day screamed joy and we were so honored to be a part of it! Cannot wait for what this season holds!
Sometimes you meet a couple and just know that their wedding is going to be so much fun. Kathy & Alex were one of those couples. Industrial venue, geometric shapes, saturated colors, and pure Richmond touches all came together beautifully thanks to the talented ladies at Glint Events. Every detail from Kathy's floral and crystal headpiece to Alex's velvet jacket spoke to their unique, vibrant personalities. We had the best time working with these two and wish the all the happiness in the world!

There are few things we love more about this job than getting to do flowers for friends' weddings. It's always an honor to be part of anyone's wedding, but there's something extra special when it's for a friend, and Kaye & Michael's big day was no exception. Their ceremony at Monumental Church and reception at VMFA incorporated Filipino traditions, lush eucalyptus and fluffy hydrangeas, calligraphy by the bride herself, and a huge crowd of family and friends. And one thing is for certain - I don't think any client of ours will ever beat Kaye & Michael's record setting boutonniere/corsage order - 45 to be exact. Thanks for letting us be part of your day, friends!

Newly engaged and looking for an awesome, interactive way to start your wedding planning? Look no further than the Wedding Crasher's Tour! The tour provides a unique, fun way to see talented Richmond wedding professionals in action and find a little inspiration for your big day. We had the pleasure of being part of Team Branch, last year's Participant Choice Award winner, and loved every moment of it. Industrial elements married with mixed metals and marsala blooms provided the basis for our team's design planned and styled by the talented ladies of LK Events & Design. Even our mouths dropped when we came around the corner to the finished product of Paisley & Jade shelving units covered in flowers and lanterns perched atop a gorgeous Classic Party Rentals tablescape.
From planning to the party, it was such a cool opportunity for couples to get to see what we could really do when given the creative license to make something original and wonderful. We had such a great time being a part of last year's tour that we signed on for another and we would love to see you there! So it's giveaway time. We are giving away a pair of tickets to this year's Wedding Crasher's Tour on February 12th. To enter, email your name and wedding date or time frame to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will chose the winner on Friday. Best of luck and we hope to see you at the Hofheimer in a few short weeks!

Soft. Romantic. Overgrown. This styled shoot at Salubria Manor gave us the opportunity to create wild, oversized pieces showcasing a style we love and do not often get the chance to use. Curated, styled, and photographed by Nicki Metcalf Photography, each soft line and subtle detail makes us fall a little more in love with these beautiful images.
We're doing our best to beat the wintertime blues on this dreary Monday morning by looking back at some of our 2016 summer weddings! Kelsea and Matt tied the knot at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in July, and they were so laid back and fun to work with. We enjoyed getting to be part of their rehearsal dinner too!
Kelsea had such fun style, and we love how her bouquets turned out - the texture of the succulents and hypericum berries, the whimsy of the veronica and lisianthus, and the yummy scent of garden roses and eucalyptus. Ahhh sweet summertime. So drift back to warmer days with us and enjoy some beautiful shots from Audrey Rose Photography!
The beautiful bride and her burgundy blooms. A ceremony by the roaring warmth of the fireplace. A dinner lit by the glow of candlelight. Lisa and Jimbo's stunning winter wedding was that and so much more. Set upon the gorgeous backdrop of Early Mountain Vineyards, their December nuptials were filled with attention to detail, so much love, and joy filled laughter from the moment he laid eyes on her for the first time. Your day was absolute magic and we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of it. Cheers to the start of your amazing journey!

Nothing says fresh starts and new beginnings quite like the blessing of having a child so it seemed only fitting to share Allison's beautiful maternity photos with you to help usher in the new year. We have been so honored to be privy to a small glimpses of Allison's pregnancy through flowers. A flower crown for her baby shower, blooms for her milk bath, and another crown for her maternity photos. With every passing event, you could see more joy, anticipation, and gratitude for the amazing gift of motherhood on her face. She welcomed her baby boy in early October and there are no better words than her own to describe it.
"...and now every breath, every smile, every tear, every single ounce of every emotion flowing through my body has come down to this moment...my first child...my son...was finally in my arms. I was in awe of him. It was in that moment that my life, my purpose, my heart would never be the same."
Welcome to this crazy, wonderful world Michael Lockwood and happy, happy new year to you all!
We love a winter wedding! Case in point why Sarah is getting ready for her own in less than two weeks. I mean everything just looks better dusted with a layer of freshly, fallen snow. From rich accents to winter greenery's architectural detail to a special element of glamour, there is just something so enchanting about it all. Styled and photographed beautifully by Alyson Taylor Events and Kathryn Ivy Photography, this shoot was an absolute blast to be a part of. It was an afternoon filled with laughter as we tied plastic bags around the grooms pant legs to protect his shoes and lifted furniture up through a solid two feet of snow all the while being so careful not to leave foot prints in the path of the perfect shot. I can only imagine what all the sledders in Forest Hill Park were thinking watching our comedy of errors. But what seriously breathtaking results now featured on Desiree Hartstock.
Award for the best bridal attitude officially goes to Cait who's bright and beautiful October wedding would have shone through even the drizzliest days. Despite the threat of a hurricane, Cait and Jake were all smiles on their big day popping in and out of the rain to share the sweetest of moments captured by Natalie Jayne Photography. Their love for one another simply pours from every photo. And with blooms in deep plum, bold raspberrys, and soft peach, there was no way they could have gone wrong. After all, "if a little rain is good luck, then we are going to have the best marriage ever." Cheers to sunny skies and weathering life's storms together! Thank you for letting us be a part of your celebration.
There is something magical about winter. Bare birch trees, evergreens, appreciating what nature has to offer even in its quietest moments. Bringing those elements into my home has always made the season feel warmer and more inviting. So when we had the opportunity to be a part of eothen's Prism Wreath Workshop last December, we couldn't pass it up. Katie is such a gracious teacher with a warm energy and an ease about her. She fostered an open, inviting space to create bringing in natural elements from her home in California along with foraging here in Virginia to provide the tools to create something really beautiful. If you ever have the opportunity to learn with her, take it. Thank you Katie for sharing your craft and passion with us! We cannot wait for an opportunity to learn with you again. And quick confession, I may or may not still have mine hanging because it's almost as beautiful dried as it was fresh and green.
It's Small Business Saturday so it felt only appropriate to share some of our favorite captures by Michael Simon Photography from the 2016 Scout Guide Launch Party. A collection highlighting some of Richmond's premier independent businesses, The Scout Guide provides a resource for consumers looking to buy locally. The Guide has a little bit of everything from salons to event planning services to clothing boutiques. We've had the pleasure of working with The Scout Guide Richmond for the past two years and can't say enough about the dedication and excitement that Editor Cheney Edmunds brings to the table. This year's event planned seamlessly by Glint Events brought together rustic and feminine elements to perfectly compliment the venue's style. Congratulations on a beautiful guide and get out there today in support of your local, small businesses!
